Of course I forgot to take a picture of it until after I had moved it into it's transport box.

I just cant resist adding those little choking hazards. But then I guess that the baby is not the only one eating the cake.

Here is another one of my "Maggie" cakes.

It's getting easier and easier to make this one. It's also becoming one of my most requested styles.

This one was for a baby shower.


Of course, darn those windy German roads again, by the time I got to the house half of those branches had fallen over.

It was pretty for the pictures though!

Baby cakes

I'll be the first to admit that these kinds of cakes are not my strong point. Straight lines and super smooth edges, notsomuch, which is why I rarely do wedding cakes. Too much perfection required. Though I'd do a zombie wedding cake in a second!

Anyway, this was for a baby shower.

We went back and forth over what to do for the topper, and finally settled on this Anne Geddes style sleeping baby dressed in flowers. I thought that this was the best part of the cake. Well, that and my pretty awesome piping (ifIdosaysomyself).

I think it might be physically impossible for me to ever properly center a cake tier.

Baby Lion

My friend Staci is having a baby...eventually.

I gave her this cake on her due date, which was Wednesday.

Very simple, but very cute. The baby's room is done in yellows, with a jungle theme.

I saw her on Saturday, and still no external baby.

It's A Girl!!

A cake for a baby shower.

I have to say, I love the brown and pink color scheme. I wish I had been that creative when The Kid was born. I think we went with green and purple.

Lots of cute pink flowers.


And a crown. There was a crown on the invitation to the shower, so I just went with that and added it to the top.

The top tier of this cake was chocolate, and the bottom was white. They are both frosted in chocolate fudge buttercream. Fondant and gum paste accents.
