If you did not know already, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many of the teachers and staff at The Kid's school are participating in Pink on Thursdays. For the month of October you should wear pink to support Breast Cancer research.
The Kid's (totally awesome) teacher this year is a Breast Cancer survivor, so I made her a special pink flower pin to wear this week.
She also likes bees.
I was quite proud of myself that I thought about this before the month ended.
I used Blair Peter's tutorial on fabric flowers for the base flower, and then added the special touches. I think it is not Breast Cancer Awareness overkill, and could be worn for other occasions as well.
I might have to make one for myself.
New cake photos tomorrow!
